Not so easy to install, the product is pretty good. The configuration is rather difficult and requires more than basic knoledge.

I used to have a Pinnacle Ultimate 880e TV Tuner but it would not work on my new Win7 PC. The Pinnacle would record in numerous formats, such as AVI, MPEG, and more, and allowed use of, for example, File Format, a free program to convert the file to another format, even TS extensions.

NOT THE HP: This HP USB tuner will only work under Window Media Center and WILL ONLY RECORD IN a format known as .dvr-ms which stinks. Yes, it replays fine, but you CANNOT play it on anything else and you CANNOT convert it to any other format. You can only burn it on a disk. STINKS. Find one that saves the recording in popular formats.

After spending hours trying to make it work I gave up. My computer tells me that no tv tuner is connected.
It may be my computers fault, I will try in another machine.
